Meet the 755P: The Video Door Station That Disappears Into the Wall
Every commercial entry wants the same three things: see who’s there, talk to them, and let the right people in — without bolting three ugly boxes to the wall. Alarm.com’s PoE Video Door Station (ADC-VDB755P) is the one-device answer, and it now comes with a full family of commercial-grade mounting options, including a flush-mount kit that sinks it into the wall entirely.
What it is
The 755P is a doorbell, a camera and a two-way intercom in a single PoE device. One network cable carries power and data, video records like any other camera on your Alarm.com system, and when a visitor presses the button, the front desk — or a phone in someone’s pocket — answers with live video and audio. It’s built for offices, clinics, warehouses and multi-tenant entries, on the same platform as your alarm and access control.

The news that prompted this post: Alarm.com released a full set of commercial mounting hardware for the 755P, so the same device fits everything from a quick retrofit to an architect-approved lobby:
- Surface mount — straight onto the wall, no extra parts; the retrofit default
- Single-gang mount (ADC-VDBA-755P-MNT) — lands on a standard electrical box for fast, clean installs
- Flush-mount kit (ADC-VDBA-755P-FMK) — recesses the station into the wall for new construction and premium finishes
- Angled wall plates (ADC-VDBA-755P-WMK) — aims the camera properly at corner entries and odd walls
- Deco plates (ADC-VDBA-755P-COVER-DG/-S) — a seamless trim frame for high-end spaces where the hardware should look architectural

Update, July 2026: the 755P has since learned an even bigger trick — it can now act as a full badge and mobile-credential access reader over encrypted OSDP. Read that update here.
The install reality: PoE at the front entrance means clean cable, a switch port and proper termination — which is exactly the access-control and cabling work we do. Flush mounts in particular reward doing it right the first time.
Where we’d spec it
Any staffed entrance that gets visitors and deliveries: office suites, clinics, showrooms, warehouse front doors, and multi-tenant buildings that want one intercom platform instead of a wall of brass buttons. If you’re building new, the flush-mount kit belongs in the plan before drywall.
