Video Intercom and Badge Access, One Device at the Door

One device at the door instead of three: the Alarm.com PoE Video Door Station (ADC-VDB755P) can now act as a full badge and mobile-credential access reader, alongside its camera and intercom — a genuinely tidy answer for commercial entries.

What it does

Mounted at the entrance, the 755P is a video doorbell, a two-way intercom, and now an OSDP access reader in a single unit. Employees badge in with an Alarm.com fob, card or phone credential; visitors press the button and talk to whoever answers; and everything is on camera — one clean device where installers used to stack a reader, an intercom panel and a camera.

The highlights

  • Video + intercom + badge access in one PoE device at the door
  • Encrypted OSDP connection to the access controller — the hardened standard for entry points, not a hobbyist protocol
  • Clear feedback — color-coded LED and buzzer so people know instantly whether the door unlocked
  • Works with what you have — supports Alarm.com physical and mobile credentials; existing 755P installs can be field-upgraded with an accessory cable, no rip-and-replace

Where it fits

Office suites, clinics, warehouses with a staffed front entrance, multi-tenant buildings — anywhere you want the front door to check credentials, take visitors and record everything without cluttering the wall. It slots straight into our access control installs on the Alarm.com commercial platform, the same setup running at Cade Builder’s warehouse.
