Your new home is already smart. Let’s switch it on.

Every Destination Home is built with smart hardware in the walls. Once you have your keys, we come out, install your security panel and video doorbell camera, and connect the devices already in your home to it — at no cost to you.

No cost for the visit or the equipment Utah licensed alarm company #14207727‑6501 Local crew, not a call center

Already in your walls

Three things were installed before the drywall went up.

Destination Homes includes smart hardware in every home we wire. It is already there, already powered, and waiting to be paired to something that ties it together.

Smart Front Door Lock

Keyless entry, and codes you can hand out and take back — a cleaner, a dog walker, a teenager who loses keys.

Smart Thermostat

Proper schedules instead of a dial, and the ability to notice a heating problem while it is still a heating problem.

Garage Door Controller

Open and close it without hunting for the remote, and see whether it was left up — which is most of what it is for.

Your consultation

One visit, and everything talks to everything.

Here is exactly what happens, so there are no surprises on the day.

1

You book a time

Any time after you have your keys. Pick a window that suits you and we confirm it by text.

2

We install the panel and doorbell

A Qolsys IQ Panel 5 and an Alarm.com video doorbell camera, mounted and configured. Both included with your home.

3

We connect what you already have

Your lock, thermostat and garage door are paired to the panel, so the touchscreen by your door runs all three of them.

4

We show you how it works

Phones set up, everyone in the household added, and your questions answered before we leave.

What it costs you: nothing. The visit, the panel, the doorbell camera and the setup are all included with your Destination Home. We will also walk you through the optional service plans while we are there — and if you would rather just keep what is included, that is a completely fine answer and the equipment stays yours either way.

Straight answers

What is included, and what is not.

The short version: everything works from the panel on day one. The plan is what puts it in your pocket. We would rather you read that here than hear it in your kitchen — nothing on the right is required, and nothing on the left goes away if you say no to it.

Included with your home

Yours, at no cost

  • Qolsys IQ Panel 5 — the touchscreen hub, installed and mounted.
  • Alarm.com ADC‑VDB775 doorbell camera — supplied and fitted.
  • The consultation visit itself — labor, configuration, the lot.
  • Live video from your doorbell camera.
  • Control of your lock, thermostat and garage door from the panel — the touchscreen by your door runs all of them.
  • A walkthrough for everyone in the house who wants one.

The hardware is yours regardless of what you decide about a service plan.

Optional, monthly

If you want the full system

  • Control from your phone — your lock, thermostat, garage and cameras from anywhere, instead of only from the panel by the door.
  • Professional monitoring — a staffed center that calls police, fire or EMS when you cannot.
  • Recorded video — clips saved and searchable, rather than live view only.
  • Life safety — monitored smoke, carbon monoxide and low-temperature sensors.
  • More cameras — driveway, back yard, side gate.
  • Lighting, locks and scenes — automation beyond the basics.
  • Ongoing support from the same local crew that installed it.

Who is coming to your house

The same people who wired it.

Shield Low Voltage is the low-voltage contractor for Destination Homes. We are in these houses during the build, running the cable and fitting the hardware before the walls close — so when we arrive for your consultation, we already know what is behind your drywall and where it goes.

We are a licensed Utah burglar alarm company and a local crew based in Lehi. The person who installs your panel is the person who answers the phone when you have a question about it two years from now.

The team at Security & Smarthome Pros were so great to work with. Everyone responds quickly and they can work around a crazy schedule. They were able to sync my client's home to allow her to control everything with ease. Highly recommend!

These guys are great! Chase came out on 2 occasions (only because I was short 1 camera) and did a great job fixing my network lines and finding work arounds for broken lines in my old security camera system.

Great experience from start to finish. Customer service was very friendly and Kyle, the sales guy, was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. The installers were kind, professional, and they def knew their business.

Some reviews name us as Security & Smarthome Pros — that was us, before the name changed to Shield Low Voltage. Same crew.

Questions

The things new owners actually ask.

Do I have to buy anything at the appointment?

No. The visit, the panel and the doorbell camera are included with your home, and they stay yours whatever you decide. We will explain the optional monthly plans because most people want to know what the system can do — but “not right now” is a normal answer and it does not change anything we install.

What if I only want the free stuff?

Then you keep it, and it is a real system. You will have the panel, the doorbell camera with live video, and full control of your lock, thermostat and garage door from the touchscreen by your door.

What you will not have is control from your phone while you are out, or recorded video to look back at. Those are the plan. You can add it later, or never — we would rather you turn it on when you actually want it than sign up at the door and cancel in March.

How long does the visit take?

Plan on a couple of hours, and less if you already know what you want. Most of it is mounting the panel and doorbell and getting everyone’s phones working. It helps if whoever manages the household’s accounts can be there.

Do I need internet for any of this to work?

You need WiFi for the cameras and the app. The security panel itself also has a cellular connection, so the alarm side keeps reporting even if your internet drops or the power goes out. If your WiFi does not reach the front door or the garage, tell us — that is a thing we fix for a living.

I already have a security system or cameras. Does that matter?

Not a problem, and worth mentioning when you book. Sometimes we can bring existing cameras onto the same account; sometimes the sensible thing is to leave them alone. We will tell you honestly which one it is.

Can I add more cameras or devices later?

Yes, and it is much easier because the wiring is already in. Extra cameras, lighting control, more locks, water and freeze sensors — all of it adds onto the panel that is already in your home. Call us whenever, not just at the consultation.

What if I bought the home from the original owner?

Get in touch and tell us the address. What is available depends on whether the original consultation ever happened, but there is almost always something sensible we can do — and taking over an existing system is routine work for us.

Who do I call when something stops working?

Us, directly. (928) THE‑PROS reaches the same local company that installed it. You are not going to be handed to a national call center that has never seen your house.

I have not bought yet — can I ask about this?

Please do. We are happy to explain exactly what comes in a Destination Home and what it can be extended to, with no obligation and no involvement in your purchase. Send us a question and we will answer it plainly.

Ready when you are

Book your consultation.

Pick a window that works and we will confirm it by text, usually within the hour during business hours. If you would rather just ask something first, that is fine too.
